Tokar Estate Restaurant

Leon and Rita Tokar have long been passionate cooks for their own family and friends, often envisioning owning and running a Restaurant of their very own creation one day. Their dream was finally realised when, on a glorious summer day in January 2003 they opened Tokar Estate Restaurant; bringing an exotic feel to the picturesque Yarra Valley by introducing "a slice of the Mediterranean" to the region.

With the Restaurant dishing up stylish cuisine, peppered with strong Mediterranean influences, and a fabulous outdoor decking and dining area overlooking the stunning surrounding vineyards, Valley and exquisite skyline; one could certainly imagine themselves to be far off in an exotic overseas location, as they sample sumptuous dishes and sip perfectly matched wines, such as our award winning Spanish Tempranillo.

Internationally acclaimed Chef Mathew Hart is now leading the Tokar Estate Kitchen team to new heights. Mathew works closely with chefs Daniel Tokar and Paul Phelan to "wow" customers dining at Tokar Estate. With an abundance of fresh local produce to play with, Mathew is certainly in his element creating stunning dishes without compromising value for money.

The menu, which changes seasonally, reflects both the décor of the Restaurant and surrounding region. Both Leon and Rita love Mediterranean cuisine, so the menu has strong Italian and Spanish influences, featuring where it can local produce that is signature too, and so abundant in the Yarra Valley.
