Shortest Lunch returns to the Yarra Valley this June, bringing together a weekend of wine tastings, live music, great food and relaxed winter fun across 13 participating wineries.

Despite the name, Shortest Lunch is not a traditional seated lunch. It is a roaming wine festival that has been running in the Yarra Valley for more than two decades, giving guests the chance to explore the region, visit multiple cellar doors and enjoy tastings across the entire weekend with one ticket.

Early Bird Tickets until May 29th for just $29

Weekend Entry $35 ( kids and designated drivers/those not tasting are free)

Cellar Door

Wine festival all weekend

At Tokar Estate, we’ll be open from 10am to 5pm across both days with five wines on tasting in our dedicated festival marquee. The Tokar family, winemaker Chloe and our cellar door team will be there to guide guests through the range and share the stories behind the wines.

Jimmy’s Brisket will be joining us all weekend serving American BBQ, while live music across both days will keep the atmosphere lively from morning through to afternoon. Firepits will be glowing throughout the weekend, with mulled wine, cocktails and s’mores boxes available for those settling in for the afternoon.

Sunday is the perfect day for families, with free marshmallow toasting for kids, a petting zoo, colouring station and kids meals available throughout the day. Dogs on lead are also welcome in the cellar door area and vineyard lawn spaces.

Restaurant

Open for Lunch

Our restaurant will remain open throughout the entire Shortest Lunch weekend for normal lunch service.

If you’re not planning on taking part in the festival itself, you’re still very welcome to book in for a relaxed long lunch overlooking the vineyard, before wandering over to the cellar door afterwards to enjoy the live music, firepits and festival atmosphere with a glass of wine in hand.
